I Turn Tragedy Into Song

Contributed by heartstrings_unwound on Wednesday, 16th September 2009 @ 04:53:24 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Somewhere we belong,
like the notation of song.
Pretend we didn't know,
but we knew it all along.

The faces changing,
and lives rearranging.
Captivating, deranging,
as thoughts keep cascading.

I cannot keep living,
in this world unforgiving.
Forgive me my sinning,
ever transcending, condescending.

On the way back home,
starring at the empty seat.
Where you once sat,
where you once planted your feet.
Your hands forever fixed,
onto radio dials.
Where we used to laugh,
for miles and miles.

Just her and I,
and the open sky.
Two years entwined,
where the rules don't apply.
Many ups and downs,
many highs and lows.
Hidden spaces in-between,
that I fear to expose.
For so long it was alleged,
that we were meant for each other.
That she was my soul mate,
and that there would never be another.
Who could fill the void,
that for so long annoyed ,
and provoked the thoughts ,
that I tried to avoid.
Of dying alone,
while holding the phone,
awaiting that call,
from the one that got away.
Knowing that we should have been ,
together forever.

nice pacing.

& I agree ...

"starring at the empty seat.
Where you once sat,
where you once planted your feet.
Your hands forever fixed,
