The sun would set,
the day would die.
The night would be blessed,
with barley and rye.
The words were right,
the timing was off.
And in my absence,
two birds would scoff.
Their laughter arose,
into the spire.
An echelon of dreams,
sinking into the mire.
They plan and plot,
as if my life were their satire.
Two little peregrines,
all alone on the wire.
Awakening from an awkward slumber,
to find myself become asunder.
Left to ponder without reason,
answers regarding her blatant treason.
Rising from these love torn sheets,
I searched the heavens and searched the streets.
Only to realize what transpired,
evident by deceit: conspired.
My thoughts they marched defections road,
escaping from perceptions abode.
Anger filled my heart with hate,
the eagle landed quite irate.
Succumb to my talons cold and dead,
drown into this stream turned red.
