dawn. . .
enticing
bird-chirp
choreography
delicate sky-glimpse
edge of day
smitten. . .
I
join in
chant of yawn
&
dance of stretch. . .
down-dog
daybreak
evening. . .
I long for evening with no embellishment.
A gentle transformation.
The coming of night, signified by cricket song & firefly trance.
My screen-porch sanctum restores balance.
My hammock. . . the sandmans' dream machine.

The Yang and Yin of diurnal and nocturnal exquisiteness (or at least the first breath) made word.

Your porch sounds charming (or maybe enchanted is a better word) and the night full of peace. I think we'd all like to spend some time there.
Wonderful write, Elle.
