Close my eyes/blink
I enter the play room,
Dark boudoir,
Palless parlour
Circular chamber
For guests & games of
Dungeon, or cocktail whore house, or
Castle mystic - strangers.
I close my eyes
Hold my hands over the door,
I wait for my friends
Private playmates & torturers.
Scanning the heavy room
What’ll be today?
They’ll be arriving soon,
No windows
No rush, plenty of time.
Come forward, “hey, I’ve been expecting you.”
A planet of eyes watching the
Serpent rosary of my days,
A gargoyle genuflection in
Corners of prayer.
Castaway on oceans
Grey storms on music, mirth
Season of words black sail romance
Raft of pearls / slippery footing.
Fell to the sky, kingdom of clouds
Driven on through vapour.
Retracted claws & wings
Stoned face hidden.
It grows a human head
& walks away in strangeness
As the unnatural, unholy arisen.
