Once again
Darkened streets roll out my red carpet
Time to alleviate my clouded head
Taken by sweet aroma ..though the flowers are still dead
I walk w/ my concealed remedy
I repeat that fate will prevail
Just to deceive my guilty memory
I sacrifice sanity just to clear my thoughts
Walking through fields of fantasy, where pain doesn’t hurt
I float in clouds of gray, satisfied in their comfort
Inserts of reality are vanquished by my poison
False sense of security cloud my perception
staggering a path of serenity
That’s lead by deception
My victory lap, alas, an evident defeat
Oh alcohol, you are so bitter-sweet
