Sink or Swim
Suicide of someone you love guts the survivors like a fish . . . as if a knife was thrust through the heart and out the back then flaying the flesh into endless slices. All of this I get, for I am a mom who has survived the suicide of her son.
We learn to live, but often in solitude. There is a great void surrounding suicide.
We see the looks on people’s faces as they move away
in apparent discomfort.
There is awkward silence at group meetings
Where sad people are reluctant to pour out their hearts,
but we victims need a place where we are not condemned.
Every 16 minutes in the US, there is a suicide.
So there are many, like us, left to grieve.
Where are they?
Who are they?
How do we find each other to hug in understanding?
God sees.
He knows.
He wraps His loving arms around each one.
If we pause to listen, we can hear His heart beating . . .
He is that close.
He will help us swim to safety.

I am truly sorry for your loss. You are heard and understood by one who has had a few losses, nothing compared to yours, I'm sure.
Wonderful delivery of such strong emotions
Hugs.

very heartbreaking/tragic...sorry to hear bout your story, i hope this cleared things a bit somehow...
"We learn to live, but often in solitude."
&
"There is awkward silence at group meetings
Where sad people are reluctant to pour out their hearts"
these are incredibly profound lines, in my opinion...
take care
