Night’s Fight

Night’s Fight

Lying in bed, it is nearly two in the morn
A voice inside my head tries to warn
I have to do this no matter what it does tell
I hold no fear for I have traveled through Hell

I make my way to my favorite window to see
All of my past and present demons looking back at me
They tell me I am safe hiding behind the glass
If I venture out they will surely kick my ass

I have made many steps forward in the past few days
I have grown in so many unexpected ways
I have even taken a leap of faith when I did somehow think
That the end result would allow my heart to endlessly sink

As the pain rages on and I know the end is near
I will face my demons in the battle of the year
There are spaces deep inside of my head
Where both Heaven and Hell fear to tread

For those who care for me with all of your heart
Believe me I have felt your love from the very start
Now though it is time I must venture forth on my own
I am so very thankful for each of you I have known

Good-Bye
