Ruined Love

Decisions made in haste,
Leave a bitter aftertaste.
Love and happyness began to fade,
Mind made up unable to pursuade.
Dreams of what might have been,
Memories of good times we've seen.
Pain of loss strikes hard on the heart,
Wishing we could go back to the start.
Barriers that have been erected,
When I didn't need to be proteceted.
Wanting only to be happy as two,
Yet not letting myself open up you.
Until now I lived my life as a lie,
But to you I can never say goodbye.
All my dreams, hope, and aspiration;
Rely on you as my admiration.
