Freedom

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Freedom, what does it mean to you
Freedom is a word that we really
don’t understand
How can you be free if you
continue being bound
Freedom cries out to me
I want o be free
Freedom comes when you let
go of all that holds you
Freedom comes when you
forgive yourself
Freedom comes when you
change the ways that have
you bound
Freedom was given to us
Freedom is Free
Then why aren’t we free
Free to express ourselves
the way we want to
Free to live and let live
but we are, we really are
Did you know that freedom
comes with a price
What price do we have to pay
to be free
We have to sacrifice ourselves
to doing what’s good
Good is free and Evil is bondage
Doing Good liberates us and
gives us life
but why then do people feel doing
good restricts you instead of makes
you free
People have it wrong, people think
that by doing all that they desire
makes them happy and free
I think the misconception about
what freedom really is,
is what has us bound
There is only one way to
be truly free
And the answer only comes
from one place
Our maker sent His Son to die
And make us free
and only when we live for Him,
and through Him
Can then we be Truly free….
