Today is my birthday
And I turned twenty five
Though I feel much older
Say, like thirty five.
The past year has been so hard
After losing my mother
And never seeing my father
Even though he has not gone.
She was like the glue
That held the family together.
Now that she has gone
It seems that bond has come apart.
It's like having a bad dream
And you are being chased
Running faster and faster
With no escape.
It's everything that you fear.
Hate, anger, sadness, and pain
Seem to swallow you
Within its darkness.
I can't find my way out
I'm falling deeper and deeper
Into this black mass
That surrounds me now.
I don't know myself anymore
It's like someone is tearing
My soul from my heart and
Everything is fading away.
For I am lost and waiting to be found.

Hi,
After reading this, if I was your father, I'd cross
fields of broken glass on all fours, just to hold you.
Sometimes I'm ashamed of my gender.
God speed, sweetheart!
