Mountains of sand

Contributed by iodinelove on Friday, 4th September 2009 @ 04:34:31 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

The rains of heaven remind me of home, the lines of your face remind me of horses dancing alone in mountains of sand, and I want to believe that you are no longer alone.

Every voice that I have spent on every paper has been for you, every form, spelling, and structure that has been in err, every uncouth word I have written in the memory of bitter and spiteful love, I have written for you—I love you, and I hope you are no longer alone.

You are a dream dreamed to die in the smiles of love, and the voices of heaven laugh at the thought.

This is such a touching poem.

The very ending line is so dreamy .

Ah, Abraham...

Love is so difficult, and lost love, more so. I
think that you handled a hard topic with much
grace, and I think that I can safely say that I know
of what you speak.

Right from the first line, it
was a piece that pulled the reader in, but to have
penned a poem that shows your true heart... well
that is a true gift of magnitude.

I hope that you too are not alone, my friend. A
brave and wonderful write. Thank you, as
always for sharing your genius with us.

Be well,
~dawn
