Raindrops are the shattered remnants of liquid starlight
Tears of the wavering moon
Veiled behind endless drifting smoke
Suffocating on leering spirals of charred ebony air.
They taunt endlessly
Dancing with obsidian footfalls
Weaving an invincible net around the pure innocent moonlight
Softly falling, softly being
Destroyed.
The sun glares angrily at his gentle sister
Hate travels swiftly on mocking rays of deep gold fire.
Night is left only with ashes
Covered in shadows of the day’s loathing
Cloaked forevermore in wisps of smoke
Woven together by the weeping stars.
Raindrops spill over scorched dreams
A mirror broken, a face
Loathed and scorned by what wishes to be moonlight
Engraved by rusted silver and cracked memories.
Raindrops are the shattered remnants of liquid starlight…
Endlessly they fall.
