So ... Blue

Contributed by LoveStruck_Hippie on Wednesday, 2nd September 2009 @ 02:40:58 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

So…

What would it feel like
to be me?

Pull each and every memory,
each and every scar…
every little moment
from my tattered,
torn up heart.

Just take the time
to feel me…

beyond my outer skin ,
beyond the bones
that hold me up
and the walls
that hold me in.

How can you say you know me
when you never seemed to start?

To see the heart that loves you,
the soul that draws you near,
the arms that wish to hold you,
two hands caress your face,
red lips to press against your skin.

How could you hope to show me
any little part?

When …

What you say’s not real,
not a word of it is true.
Can’t you see I know you’re lying
when you say the sky is blue?

Peace
Shannon

Shannon, my friend, this is actually quite beautiful. I know there is pain in this and
a struggle that is obvious, but your words meld together in a hopeful plea to end
your present ache. And that is always beautiful. Never give up. Never say die. I
love the last two lines. Oh God! How piercing they are, like a dagger to the heart.

So glad to see something new from you. And sweetie? It's exquisite ~

And "stir" you did indeed do. I love the descriptive style of yourself and this other person. I can so relate but it took me a long time to see the lying.

And this line?

How can you say you know me
when you never seemed to start?

That sooooo speaks volumes to me and I need to remember that. Don't worry, it will be a quote. It could so pertain to anyone, I suppose, but I like the way you said it. And one of those anyone's is me and just by coincidence I just posted a poem (this by no means is a subtle hint to read) that pertains to a person that I could use that line on because it is so solidly true!!!

People can be so cruel, can they not?

Take care,

Tim

Shannon,
I am so glad you did stir sis.
You stirred me with each word right to the heart.

I think at times that is one of the hardest parts, wanting to feel ........ then with eyes wide open coming face to face with the lie, the "knowing" sighhhhhh

I hope things are ok with you?
It is so nice to see a post from you sis.

Giving you a huge hug
I love you sis
Michelle

Wow... Shannon...

I don't know that I was expecting to feel this
lump in my throat. This is so lyrical and lovely,
even with the deep sad tones, but these words:

"Pull each and every memory,
each and every scar…
every little moment
from my tattered,
torn up heart."

They tore me. I know those words. I know
them. Pain like this is crippling, so it is my
greatest prayer that you can find some relief,
that you can bind it away, only to use as a muse.

Beautiful work, little sister, and bravely faced.

Love,
~dawn

It is so SO good to see you posting again.

And wow, it's a heart smacker, too.

There are severeal lines in this that really hit me, but none so much as this part here:

Pull each and every memory,
each and every scar…
every little moment
from my tattered,
torn up heart.

Just take the time
to feel me…

beyond my outer skin ,
beyond the bones
that hold me up
and the walls
that hold me in.

That part was flawless, hun, and I felt every single word, nothing else hit me so hard n this write.

I'm so sorry you're hurting, though. Keep writing, love, things will get better.

I'm here for you,
Phil xxx
