While Babies Drink There Mothers Tears . . . Ben

Contributed by myheartsvoice on Wednesday, 2nd September 2009 @ 02:28:57 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Why things happen i don't know
these days we couldn't care less,
all has changed we're all estranged
societie's a mess.

I may be old but i have learned
don't cling to bridges that are
burned, moving on is tride and
true move before they move on
you . . .

Young men want there piece of @$$
young women just want piece, rich men
get there kicks from wars while poor
men just get fleeced . . .

Druggies come and go like lies
it's murder at it's best, boozers
drink and drop like flies cartels
keep the rest . . .

All is comfy cozy every one is
fast assleep, tucked in bed
and playing dead whoers don't
come cheap . . .

Politician smile and pat each
other on the scruff, promising
we'll get our share once
they've had enough . . .

How illusive is that once weeks
turn into endless months, months
turn into waisted years while
babies drink there mothers tears . . .

Hearts are shattered every day
hate's become our thirst, anger
is our anthem of putting ourselves
first . . .

Why things happen who can say
what's it matter any way, just
pretend that we're all blind we
can leave it all behind . . .

A bill unpaid a fee still owed
a road less travled on, devotion
to a liars code we're pebbles in
a pond . . .

Multiplying daily like a roach
within a nest, spawning inuendos
on this planet, we infest . . .

Ben

Oh Ben,
the title caught me right away.
You touched on so much and it is so true.
Another beautiful and heartfelt write from you.

We have discussed these topics in great length and you know where I am with it all.

Huggles from ur puggles

This touches on many aspects of what is wrong in the world, but somehow I find it a little incoherant and I must say the spelling mistakes became annoying.
With a little more care this could have been very good.

This would be great had you spell checked.
