Remit

I await welcoming warmth of Hell
Rather an icy dead love swoon
Warmth of fires stoked not of want
Tribute to Perdition a strained détente
None for wanting a soulless clutch last
Gorging ourselves on brazen fast
Toiling to remit a painful assess
Always in search of a path to redress
But as Hell’s warmth will draw me away
I’ll hope that she will forgive me one day

Hi there,
I had 13 years in the Royal Navy. Can relate to
the subject content of your poem. Didn't have
the answer then, and alas, don't have the answer
now. Hang in there, pal. You're in an awful place.
(not that you need to be told that).

Steve, it's so good to see you are still posting, though I see not a lot has changed.
I'm so sorry for all you must endure, especially given the circumstance of where
you are. I know you have been hoping and praying for a long time now. I wish it
were easier for you. This piece is painful, but creatively and beautifully written.
I hope it is somewhat therapeutic for you at least.
Be well and take care, my friend.
~ Breezy

A sad poem on two fronts. However, negativity is the deadliest enemy of all. Remain positive and you can make all these sad poems happy.

Dearest, Steve...
You face this so bravely, my friend. Would that
we could ease the suffering. Just know, that
we suffer with you. Another fantastic piece.
Be well,
~dawn |
