The World keeps spinning

Contributed by boy7wonder on Sunday, 30th August 2009 @ 12:19:39 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Either my mind is deceiving me
Or the closer I get to people, the less they believe in me
Find my therapeutics thru the contents of a letter
Swear I deserved better
Driven to find a place where failure can’t lurk
For it seems everyone else around me has the manual on how to make it work
Used to love surprises.. now I’m afraid of what’s next
Hearts far from cold, so why when it comes to moving on I freeze?
Feeling enclosed in an alphabetical prison, I’m stuck on Y and the answer lies in the eX
No wonder I cant catch any Z’s…
Taking everything I got not to be bitter or indignant
Which would b normal, but I’m me cause I’m indifferent
Asked god for one good opportunity, 4 years later I got it and couldn’t deal with it
Now I’m searching for a fresh start, a place where this broken seal’s lifted
You can say I’m gifted… cause I live for the present…
For some reason experience insists on teaching me lessons that are more pain than pleasant
To lose it all…… and pick yourself up, start over from the beginning
Nothings ever promised… cause the world keeps spinning…………..

Holy crap! This describes exactly what hitting rock bottom feels like. I love
so many lines in this, I couldn't pull any one out to forsake the others. I
see myself in so much of this that it actually makes me break a sweat. Wow.
Well done! This is gripping in one of the most anxious ways. I feel your
torture and ambiguity. You've expressed yourself exceptionally well here!

Chin up and take care ~

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
