You caused me so much pain
Were supposed to make the hurt go away
All the lies, deceit and cheat
Was it really worth it
To go out creep and sneak
To really believe Im blind
To think I really didn’t read
Didn’t see behind the cracks
And read between the lines.
I just don’t understand
What did I ever do that was so wrong
The typical sayin I know
But to be honest Im glad to know
That what you did to me has happen to others
Nieces, sisters, cousins, mothers
But then I stop and think
Maybe Im the one to blame
Because I should have looked
At all the lil signs that added you to that link
The link of others who’ve done me wrong
I shoulda know you were gonna end up
To be just another bad song.
The thought that I really cared
And grew to love
A person in which I thanked the
Lord above
I thanked him for putting such
A wonderful woman into my life
I finally believed that he had put someone
In my life that I could, love, trust, adore
Without all the pain and strife.
Someone who would love me hands down
Someone who knew how to show me affection
Attention, a best friend, someone to keep a smile
On my face, and would never wanna see me frown
You caused me so much pain
Were supposed to make the hurt go away
All the lies, deceit and cheat
Was it really worth it
To go out creep and sneak
To really believe Im blind

The hurt comes through clearly in the choices you used. Hopefully it was cathartic.
