here i am alone in this dark and empty house
searching for you, still blindly looking around
eventhough i know you had to go and leave town
but your voice still rings in my head like the sweetest sound
waiting for when you'll be back that night
then maybe I'll have enough empathy to turn on these lights
cause without you, there is nothing worth using my sight
i swear there is no more painful words than goodbye
but they say patients is a virtue
and Im know i can wait this week or two
cause i would wait forever to be with you
and when you left, that was something you already knew
and as the floor creeks like a shadow haunting me
i finally go to bed so i can at least see you in my dream
stumbling to the bedroom in my worn out jeans
home as dark as my heart when i heard you had to leave
but still i manage to find my way
like an anecdote for how we started to date
the darkness reminds me of what i hate
the lonely and cold feeling you made go away
so for that, i love you so much
and I'll count the hours until i get to feel your hug
as i fall asleep alone in this bed all snug
wasting time till, again i get to see you, my love.
goodnight.
