***Midnight # Magik***

Contributed by ChenoaShiningwater on Thursday, 27th August 2009 @ 02:30:23 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

Last night in moonlight shadows,I cast a special spell

lotus incense,
3 rose petals,
and all my tears that fell
A snip of hair,
your photo,
a poem,
my love so true

Into a wooden bowl I placed, every memory of you

Strawberries and whipped cream,
some songs and your keys
Scooby Doo,
three stooges
and a painting done by me
Stardust from my dreams of you,
raindrops from the storms
Footprints from our walks,
embraces that kept me warm
Leaves of winters past
that blew across my feet

I picked them up one time when I was walking down the street
The same moment they appeared to me,I'd been thinking about you
So I saw this as sweet kharma, and wondered if you would too

Ash from the fireplace, where last winter's fire had been
Many nights it warmed us,everytime it was in dreams
Just one thing left to add,so sad it got that far
Yet this woman has no use for,a burnt out fallen star
So into the bowl with all the rest of you,and yesterday
I placed my fallen wishing star,
said goodbye ...

and walked away

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this one,
because this is one meticulous ''permanent''
goodbye!! A romantic 'springclean!'

Well crafted, Chen.

Sometimes all that's left is to walk away....sad .

You are and always have been the best poetess I have ever read.

Roses at your feet
