A lifetime passes, yet less than a newborn in knowledge,
They are a blank canvas, I am a ruined picture.
A grave misconception of the world, having hated and suspected,
Only scratching at the depths of what lies beneath.
Having taken such a long journey on the wrong road,
Is it possible to go back?

Oh , ouch. That is something I've contemplated myself. I don't think it's possible to go back,
but it is possible to change the path. When you reach the next fork, change direction.
I love this line ,
"They are a blank canvas, I am a ruined picture"
Oh my ... now that is poetic. I may have to quote you.
Excellent post
