Hope and laughter
the earliest feelings
mothers hold
friends until the end
a bug in a jar
the usual things
a long road trip
new exciting things
masks over memory's death
friends fleeting
lust too young too soon
a thrown fist
the taste of red dust
confusion and isolation
feelings in the heat
a long road trip
so many faces
the mocking finger remains
the thrown fist
spit at and ignored
too stupid for teaching
too fat for love
high school - friendless
earphones to fade the scene
escape and isolation
so far from the hope
laughter; someone else's memory
the thrown fist
pain no longer a fear
the taste of blood
friends - what?
family love - what?
the look in her eyes - fantasy
hatred and rage
so close to the end now
the beauty in such liberation
fuel to change the scene
no longer fat
no longer stupid
no longer concerned
addicted to feeling good
to self-harm
she walked in
'I love you'
elation and hope
quickly stripped
control and manipulation
'you need this, so shut up'
a nightmare prison
ending with her in another's bed
emptiness and silence
isolation grown big from seed
another kindred in orbit
'we should love in our isolation'
an empty beast can only give empty love
a storm thrown tumble weed
his boy took years to find the other end
isolated and resigned
no better for the experience
hope and faith dead
friends - a damned pipedream
who cares for the pain of love
a boy without gravity
satellite souls only temporal
why stand?
why stand?
why take another breath?
isolation deep rooted
and ill and tainted heart
an addict to the haze
something to hide the sickness
30 years of experience.

Tim, I feel this is an awesome, inspiring write! Always one for self-isolation, I can so relate. . . & in defense of all the experiences I
have out-lived (as we all do) I wouldn't want to trade them now, for the world. Embracing ones' self & journey is the key. Thanks for
sharing your heart & talent. . . elle :) |
