it takes something like screaming at the ***** stars
demanding a sign, but receiving nothing.
that's when you realize that everything means nothing
while the void in your mind that screams in wordless objection
that's the clarion call of mute realization
understand the emptiness that begs for expression without making a sound
when poetry forgets how to lance the wounds and spill the ink
and your pen forgets its voice
pursue the truth, traverse long enough and
it falls into place, leaving the blanks to stay blank
and when words become just words.
pen and paper mean nothing anymore.
heartbeats in the darkness make metaphors of more clarity
then a thousand bleeding poets crying infidelity
words are nothing but destructive disillusionment
the emptiness of silence is the truth
darkness....she is pure
when she speaks we are lost in abstract
she wears her words in a crown of stars
voiceless words carried on the wind
tonight we speak in glances
and soft caresses
and revel in the absence
the void, were we mean nothing
let go of your apprehensions
and listen.....
nothing IS the truth
everything else is a lie

Wow, I don't even know where to start. This is so full of contradictory notions- and I love
it! If darkness is your light and brings about this kind of revelation, than I say, live in that
"light" as long as you can manage.
This speaks to me in a way that I've not felt from a poem in a very long time. I read this over
several times and each time I received a different meaning, for after all, words can be versatile
at the worst of times. I prefer my initial reaction which was, in all honesty, confusion. Sometimes
the darkness spreads over like muddy water. But if we do not fear it, it can be a comfort, hiding
us from exposure.
Well done, poet. Great post!
