As she kisses her baby on his soft cheek
Sinks her teeth into his tender tummy
His giggles are like music to hear ears
Rocking him to sleep in his crib.
Lullaby.
Now shes sitting at home.
Her hands clasping tight,
It started this way, sleepless nights
..her little baby
Has a tourniquet around his arm
His heart is blistered
Pushing the needle down
Monsters are tearing through his mind
There voices
Keeping him awake all night
He's long forgotten his mother
That old frail giver of life
He didnt inject dreaming of this
He never tried it
To end his life.
And from the crib
Dependent on his mother. Who would breathe life into him
On his way to the coffin
Dependent on the chemicals. Breathe synthetic life into him.
