The connection between a father and son
is a sweet as the days are long
with an eternal bond
he loves you now as he did
still living
rocking you when you were tiny
loving you till he stopped breathing
because he will always care
and always be there
even though he’s taught you to play baseball
and ride a bike
thought he’s not here right now
he will always care
and he will always be there
when you fall and scrape your knees
or strike out
he’ll be there for your prom
he’ll be there when you get your first car
he’ll be there when you turn eighteen
get married
and rase kids
so he’ll always care
and check in on you from time to time
and he’ll always be there
through the good and the bad times
not even for couples does love last through death
except those lucky few that God blessed
but the bond of life on earth carries on
from birth
to death
You know you father is proud of what ever you do
especially if you make you dreams come true
even thought he’s not with you
he’s watching
and caring
and loving you more now then you know
because he’ll away be there
and he’ll always care
