She ran right from the garden shed
All the way upstairs to her comfy bed
Cried in the night
And dreamed of a fight
She knew she would fail
Against a dozen slimy snails
She screamed for her life
Which sounded like being stabbed with a knife
Jumped in the dark
Over what felt like an arc
She must be near home
And some people are afraid of a garden Gnome?
She found the footpath to her house
Where sat not a snail
But a little grey mouse
Who said to her
To close your eyes tight
Then believe you will wake up before sunlight

Nicely written. The last stanza is an effective ending. Creative idea!
