Controlled

Contributed by kangarose on Sunday, 30th March 2003 @ 05:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

You controlled my life,
I was Your wife,
That never gave you the right,
To continually undermind me.

I wasn't allowed to visit my nan,
Was frowned on by you,
If i said i had been,
To visit my mum.

I worked just as as you did,
In fact I put more in,
To everything with us,
Than you ever did.

I paid all the bills,
Bought the food,
Clothed us all,
From head to toe,
Paid the house rates,
Paid registration, on,
Both cars and trailers.

You only paid one hundred dollars a week,
On the mortgage of the house,
I paid the gas, electricty and phone as well.

Yet you could have been banking,
Most of your pay,
Yet you chose to waste it anyway,
On auctions and garage sales.

You never had the right,
To change me into someone,
I didn't want to be,
I simply wanted to be me.

You even had the hide,
To control when we made love,
Well after nine years,
I had enough,
So I got a loan,
I moved on.

Now you can pay all your own debts,
Next year I'll be back at work,
Then I'll be totally in control of me!!!!

way to go girl...those that try to control others are weak and insecure... believe in yourself and show the world.

At one time we "bipeds" were all hunter-scavengers. We owned only what we could carry. At some point we aquired sufficient civilisation to make or grow more than we needed, more than we could eat.

At that point society divided into the "farmers"
who wanted to live by growing things, making things, and trading.......... and the "bandits" who thought why work and toil when we can steal what we want from the farmers.

An over-simplification of course since we change character hour by hour in todays complicated world BUT there are millions of of us who remain "farmers" almost all of the time and then there are that 10% (say) who are "bandits"......bastards who prey on the rest.

Well congratulations! Welcome to the "farmers". With your strength of character you will make a good life, not only for yourself but for those around you.
