Day 27. . .

Topic:
obsession
|
it's more than mere regret.
the loss has become a being
all it's own. .
mostly. . . lingering
with me.
when there's nothing else
(to fill)
large. . .
looming. . .
occupying me.
it's grown bigger
not to mention. . . louder.
the silence is deafening.
can you hear it?
that stark nothingness
where once, love-shaped words
kissed the air.
I have only this obsession. . .
(no longer you)
only the thought of you.
invading my mind
like something inserted
into my flesh. . . my cortex
stabs at my heart. . .
strangles
thoughts. . .
any stream of vision
blurs to memories. . . becomes transparent.
I don't want to see through you.
I did not want to loose-
so I call you up. . . just to hear you voice
hold my breath. . . just to hear you breathe
your nice hello
exasperated good-bye. . .
the cycle begins, anew.
I am so alone
here. . .
holding your memory
close.

my first read of your stuff el
i have to say after a few lines i began to see your talent.
"that stark nothingness where once love shaped words......" really powerful metaphoric
imagery there.
a few bad c lich'es. alittle long past the point.
you show great promise and skill.
true poets heart.

& so your vision takes shape a lucidity clear through an unspeakable indescribable clutch of feeling. Finely held and emotive.
Thanks I.B. |

oh elle, this was very painful to read. I found myself hiding amongst
your words. You've conveyed the torture and shame, obsession carries.
Strength is absent when the heart is involved sometimes.
Exquisitely painful ~
