Transformers - Sky Might Fall

Contributed by daylynn_van_wyk on Saturday, 15th August 2009 @ 11:58:34 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

A rude awakening;
The sounds of explosions grasp him from pleasant dreams,
The air is humid and consumed with innocents screams.

He flees to his car,
The engine explodes with raw power
blasting him out of the flames within this dark hour.

The moon puts the sun to temporary sleep,
Shadowing images unfamiliar to human eyes,
Deadly machines emerge, spreading tales of a cruel demise.

The dark sky soon resembles day,
lights beam down through the clouds,
machines descend baring gifts from a spacey hell,
lost within fear he is, but just a ghost in a shell.

His car soon stops where his safety is given,
an alien robot escaping it's four wheeled mask,
baring fierce weaponry designed for this heroic task.

Hidden...he gazes at approaching Deceptacons,
Giant robots containing a destructive nature,
from another world, not born from any religious creator.

His car soon joins comrads,
lead by the majestic Optimus Prime,
A name associated with screams of Deceptacons dying.

A battle is about to unfold,
due to past events which revenge foretold,
Now the cube is gone, the source to their tainted souls.

Explosions tear through the land,
a chaotic force waving destruction in its wake,
prayer is now the only hope for humanity's sake.

It rains with burning debris from battle clouds,
these mysterious robots waging war,
one poisoning and others fighting for a peaceful cure.

Lost within darkness his eyes fall shut,
the dreadful sounds fade into a mute silence,
and odor of gun powder grows feint,
followed by the heat from fires forfeit.

...A rude awakening,
The sounds of sirens steal him from nightmares,
In the passenger seat flashing lights rush by,
A satisfied peek, yet battle scars seize to rush by.

Hours pass and the mist soon fades,
Greeting the stars in the night sky,
without a trace vanishes,
any source to the pre-morning sky.

They patrol our cities,
within the shells of our technology,
causing our eyes to become our primary enemy.

The earth now scarred,
Wounded by the deceptacons battle cries,
but our ghostly saviors remain,
Robots In Disguise.
