Why does each generation
waste their precious hours of youth?
Oh! If we had only known...
It's as if while standing still,
time has slipped past us like a wisp of smoke
And we've scarcely given it a thought
'til, in dismay, we look back
o'er the receding years
With the dawning realization
that most of our lives has already been lived,
And the final abyss draws ever near...
