I walked down that street
The place we would always meet
We were 13 and I wondered what you were thinking
Now the thought of it is crippling
A t the risk of sounding extreme
I am sure you know what I mean
I begged to know what was on your mind
It would be the last time
You told me of ways that would make me fall in love with you
If only I was aware of the journey we would go through
Your plans were elaborate
Far off from what I imagined
It didn’t take long until we made an oath to never be apart
We were 16 when I gave you my heart
Allowing myself to be vulnerable
Only if it wasn’t so wonderful
Maybe I could have spared myself the pain
But my love I could not constrain
