I try to see the world defined,
With sense and clarity refined.
To no avail its sight remains,
A shameless grin disguised for pains.
Heavy hearts soaked in sinful deeds,
Release me from these tangled weeds.
A culprit to the state we're in,
Compassion has been traded in.
Blessed or damned without a buffer,
Cries unheard from those that suffer.
I wish some words could overcome,
Each struggling soul that's being undone.
Until we recognize this crime,
I offer hollow words in rhyme.

These aren't hollow words, my friend... It's something a lot of us experience but are not gifted enough to express it like you have.
