Both hands tied behind my back,
Lately I feel that I’m being attacked.
With all of our heartless games…
And the way we hurt each other with no shame.
That’s not how it should be,
We really need to fall out of this routine.
No one said this was going to be easy,
But together we chose this life for you and me.
Just like everything else, love is tough…
But I know you still care, I caught your bluff.
Baby we don’t have to fight,
All we need to do is sit down and talk for a night.
We’re both too stubborn for our own good,
We refuse to give in and make up, even though we both know we should.
Maybe if we knew we wouldn’t hurt each other again we would.
But maybe we’re so good together it makes us bad…
Now we’re to the point if we don’t give in we’ll lose what we had.
So here I am, I’m raising my white flag.
Because we could shimmer and we could shine,
I could be yours and you could be mine.
From here on out we could be together,
And from this day forward we could smile forever.
Our future rests on your shoulders, the choice is all yours…
Do you want me for life, or do you want to close the door?
