Shot to my Heart

I almost died when I felt that shot to my heart
I can’t believe I survived this tragedy.
I can’t stand this fact, this part.
You could only my pain see.
This shot could have cut my life short.
It could have made me still with fright.
I don’t understand how I made it through an ordeal of this sort.
I went down without a fight.
This shot to my heart is epic.
And now I exist with my heart oh so SICK.
