Follow My Voice

Contributed by FRANCO on Tuesday, 4th August 2009 @ 08:20:47 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Follow My Voice
Glittering arrows of early sun shot-up from afar,
behind the rocky old mountains; painting
the pale-sky and the bleak countryside
- with convivial gold and shiny silver.

Among all the chattering of the birds and the blaring
of herds - me a little lamb, heard a gentle
whisper, nourishing my frail and fragile heart
on every step with boldness.

“Follow my voice to the mountain top” was the whisper,
“Where the pastures are green as a bounty,
sweet water-holes are in plenty; view over the
world is pretty.

Follow my voice, stray not hither and thither,
neither to your life nor to your right, dark foggy
steep-cliffs of mortal end awaits hungrily to
gulp you down; follow my voice to the mountain top.

Fulfill your belly, rest awhile beneath a shady tree, before
the sun sinks to the bottom - return home, ‘cause,
the path is slippery ‘n’ steep like an evil-imp that waits for you to slip
and fall down the bottomless- pit; follow my voice -
for I Love you more then I ever loved me”

O, how can I ever stray away, and be lost, while whispers of my shepherd’s voice
guide me out of peril and grief from dawn to dusk ‘nd to the mountain of bliss.
-FRANCO-

Benedetto,
In this poem I sense the move and direction of your every word from the Holy Spirit as He talks to you. The words are beautiful as I read them filling my heart and spirit with His holy Presence. You had a precious moment in time. Thank you for heeding to His voice for sharing His words. Yet another timeless poem. Your direction is changing the Heart of God wants to be known...through your writings a blessed calling.
Love,
Linda

Exceptional writing my dear friend. A glorious example of having
