I Still Believe

Born and raised.
Always told to pray everyday.
It’s been a while.
So today, I actually prayed a little,
and what do I hear in return?
Nothing.
No answer.
Not even a single syllable.
Now I feel even more lost and lonely.
I still believe God was never there for me.

Yes, that rather perplexed me when I was a good little protestant. What the hell am I praying to? What do I expect in reply? A message from god scribbled on note paper? The fact is, it's all about the belief. if you believe a god is there, you believe he will heal your wounds. Sometimes your wounds will heal just because of this faith. So if you are a christian, god is very much real. if you're a muslim, Allah is very much real. if you're a hindu, Vishnu is very much real. In a world that's so fake, we all need something that's real in our lives.
