Life inside of me

Life inside of me

I carry it for nine months
my belly stretches as it grows.
I feel it moving inside of me,
a feeling only a woman knows.
All the minor ailments that comes with it
does not matter,
For within a few months I will be a mother....

Giving birth a terrifying act.
The thought gives me chills
cause with my efforts I have to push it into this world.
I feed and it feeds with me.
When I am emotional it can sense it
And the anticipation...
What will it look like?

It will be my baby,my child.
my offspring....
My son or daughter
I will be its mother.
Great responsibility
a bond for life,no matter how old we will be
I carried that life inside of me.

An excellent write. So human and genuine. I can see why Jenni liked it so much.

yes I agree, a lot of wonder within this verse, as Jenni said some of us do not know nor ever will. I am happy for you though! What a joy!

Nicely written verse sweety
