Drove Through Ghosts of the Green House Just to Get Here

Swallowed cup
tongued the gasoline rainbow.
Saw the porch lights low in the suburbs
and smelled the embalmed stench of corpses.
These streets once held bright red signs,
no more would the octagon wait be given.
No more would I be just the driveway.
Never thought I'd live forever a house beat down
soiled web windows plastic sills hanging broken
the baby of a drenched hardwood interior siding
battered down bare in nails protruding my eyes
to engage the emissions.
Outside looks like Mars,
breathes like it. Future leaking through every crack
and I will mellow; inside drywall.
And my lungs will cough insulation.
And when the red signs fade,
the future be degraded,
I will die by what I were made from.

Nice track. . . powerful & oh, so relevant to our continued existence (through awareness).
I love the fact that there were no lurics, it serves to make a stronger statement. The music
was so strong yet subtle, I can see where you got your inspiration. Nicely done!

Outside looks like Mars because it already happened there. Very interesting and powerful statement. Unique and wise.
