As your day is brightened by goldfinches, my evening is enlightened by the happiness you share. I know of what you speak, too--I was skeptical when my family first introduced finches (not of the gold variety) into our home, but I have grown quite accustomed to their familiar and characteristic chirps. In fact, I might even say I'm pleased to have them.
But, shhhhh! Please don't tell. I have an image to uphold, after all. :-) In the meantime, do accept my thanks for your ever-luminous posts. Always, -Kris- |

I wrote a poem called Canary (of course in portuguese). In Brazil, this bird is very appreciate. There is comedy's actor called little canary, and this is the nickname of Brazilian soccer team. The canary, as you described, symbolizes the happiness and rejoice in my country as yellow is the sunlight here.
Very simple, but charmed.
