Hope Everlasting - - the tide that left and never came back

In the sweet and heated summer
Is where chapter one began
I enjoyed the jokes and laughs
And didn't want it to end.

The everlasting sunsets;
They shone straight through our blue eyes.
You held me close to your heart
Like you've never held a lie.

Chorus:
Well we left those memories ...at the beach.
I'll write a heart in the sand;
So the tide an bring us back,
To share together again.

But the tide can erase these pages,
as easy as you did.

I visit the sun and waves
Where our shadows once lived
And silhouettes embarked,
Dancing like we were just kids.

Chapter two is unwritten.
It's not the same anymore.
Where did those endless days go?
I guess you have closed that door.

Chorus:
Well we left those memories ...at the beach.
I'll write a heart in the sand;
So the tide can bring us back,
To share together again.

But then, the summer passes...
And you and her
Are no longer together
I see some hope, but...
You've never wanted Us.
