The truth comes in pain

The Truth comes in pain
Not knowing it would drive me insane
But it seems easier to lie
But then I could just die
It will eventually come out
At the top of you lungs at a shout
The truth must be known to all
So we can know everything once and for all
People try to avoid the pain
But I’d go through it just to keep sane
The truth can really hurt
But look at what it’s worth
It can open so many doors
Let the truth flow from your pores
Quit spewing your smut
Because lies only keep those doors shut
I’d endure the pain
To hear the truth of it all to keep me sane

Interesting poem about the truth. It got me thinking about if it is ever right to hide it from someone. I agree that setting the truth free is a liberating experience. Terrific write.
