At last, at last,
I've got a yard full of crabgrass,
Yes, the undeniable genus 'Digitaria,'
Widely condemned in North America,
Has taken full and unadorned root,
My entire block wants to give me the boot,
But I say that if it's green, just grow it,
Hopefully, you can always mow it,
I think it's great that which you don't have to cultivate,
But just to keep the neighbors from cryin,'
Next year I shall garrote my plot with dandelion.
