Wasted Ink

Contributed by lesoleilnoire on Monday, 27th July 2009 @ 01:25:27 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

Instead of using a delicate drop of ink on my quill,
I decide to drown it in deeply and get a selfish fill.

As the quill hits the paper, a blot of ink destroys the paper's purity,
I try to write down a verse and only capture obscurity.

I examine the quill and find it destroyed,
now maybe writing is something to avoid.

If only I would have dabbled the quill in the precious ink,
my ideas would not continue to shrink.

It's not how much ink is on the paper that is used;
it getting the ideas across with without ink's abuse.

I will never waste ink;
it is understanding I seek.

It is through this ink that you are able to express, you can always replace your quill but words can never be re written......

Ink is never wasted.. ink is our blood poured in the arms of paper, giving birth to what we call poetry

This is good, i sense the bitter emotions yet see the beautiful writing. A work of art in its own rite.
