Promises
Do you remember you promised me you'll always be there?
Even though we are miles away
in thought and in person.
You said you will never leave
yet I am left with a scar and the envy
thats patient and innocent...
You promised me a ring on my finger,
life long promise
till death do us part.
But you lied and some other lady has the price
I thought I won...
I should have been her
Because till this day
I love you the same
You promised you will never do me harm.
Yet you left me bleeding for life.
Luckily you have what you wanted,
I will not forget that I promised though,
to remember you even through the pain
Hope she makes you happy
Because we died with every promise you made.

Heart wrenching write here, well written but I am so sorry for your pain. I think those men do not get it at times do they?

What a moving piece this is, tied together with emotion that it seems to struggle to contain.
The last line just stays in the memory !!
