Our Quiet Love

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Saturday, 29th March 2003 @ 06:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

On a swing hung from an apple tree,in the shade out of the heat
Lazily moving back and forth,in a summer dress, bare feet
Gazing across the lush green fields, dreams alive so free
Looking up from where you work, you cast your smile to me

So beautiful this time of year, coloured blossoms everywhere
Scented breezes, warm and sweet, move through my flowing hair
The sun beats down upon your face,as you tend to summers earth
And as you look at me so lovingly,my heart sings with rebirth

Poplar trees hum in tune,to the rhythm of a tender breeze
My voice is found as I hum along, such magic times are these
Watching you and smiling,I feel proud and start to blush
For even in these quiet times, still I feel your love so much

The earth has been replenished, soothed by your own hands
For where there was only dust,a frangipani tree now stands
As we look warmly at each other,we smile contentedly
For the way we make each other feel,as we love so quietly
