anguished

By all that is.
There is a
Perfectly good noun
Why insist upon verbs?
Metaphors are for birds
With nothing better to do.
Just say it
And be done with it
Because
Your deceit
Is sufficiently vicious
To end friendships
And sink ships
And destroy worlds
And break hearts.
You are not!
You are not meeting my
Needs!
My Demands!
I shout
But I whisper
I fear waking you
And the beast you hide
The one you love
Above all else.
Above even me.
