With its right hand he governs the pleasure
The light he brings feeds the lands I find solace
As the ages progress eyes move forward
The air we shared comes to a suffocating end
The dreams in which childish games cheat death
Gives way to a sluggish waking into a world of pain
The real as it welcomes me with a wide glare on its face
We let go of our hopes for the rainbow’s end
As the daisies wither and the ice cream melts in our hand
The shoes that seemed to fit days ago are thrown away
And the tree bearing our name recedes to a forgotten place
The firsts ever precious lost in the horizon of days past
The world once so big shrinks as we venture into its maze
With its left hand he waves me farewell
The colors turn gray as we grow and fade
The lights are out and night prevails
The sand claims us all and we forget
