An Angels' Smile

The stars glitter in the night skies
as diamonds reflect in your eyes,
darkness measures light
as your smile does at sight.
The ocean ripples at pace
as your hair falls gently as grace,
compared to the moon emitting light
- in the darkness of night -
you shine bright.
Like forest fires' flames;
your presence sets people alight,
your passion creating a drunken haze
of love and understanding and still
the Lord receives all your praise!
And when your smile fades;
the wind suddenly becomes as blades,
and as beauty dies under darkening skies;
sadness bellows over the ocean of angels' cries.
And when tears of sorrow glide down your face;
my heart begins to race
to stop the flood of pain -
so you might smile again!
