Ripped Apart

Some say its better to have loved
and lost
then to never love at all
But they have never been
on the receiving end
of losing everything big and small

Ripped apart
Torn to shreds
How did it end and where do I start?
I don’t deserve this broken heart.

First came the shock
followed by the sadness
And then the facts came together
which drove me to madness

All the times that you lied to me
and all the promises you forgot to see
I even got myself to look past it
When you couldnt give a *****

I gave you my heart
Along with so many chances
But you took these as opportunities
To leave my heart bleeding on the floor
And still all I wanted was more

But ***** all that
Now im through
On the floor with my heart
Is where I threw all my feelings for you

Cause I gave you my soul
And it was all you could do…

To Rip it apart
And Tear it to shreds
Oh wow did you end it, maybe one day you’ll regret it
You didn’t deserve to break this heart.

[instrumental bridge to the end]

The anger is raging
Inside all im saying
Is “How could you play me?"
When I counted on you to save me
But you decided to erase me
And now you can forget me…

You ripped me apart
And tore me to shreds
You now want me as a friend? Well too late its at an end

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
