Topic: Tributes

to jump
when all deny you
to stand up
as sin defies you

to fight on
beside those who deciet and lie to you
to stay alert
against those who tire you

to muster courage
against unfathomable odds
to charge to hold to die
do not waver or speak a single wearied cry
yieldless relentless keep and maintain
integrity and pride
hold your ground stand high
do not hide

to seek an unseekable goal
to maintain dignity in dire disgrace
to be above common but to know your place
run run an endless race
walk in sted at a calm pace
win yes but have a subtle grace

to win an unachievable aim
do not boast seek pride in any case
leave no number name or place
do not let them seek you or trace

ponder in minor extent
always remain with integrity
pay the rent
tips are dimes and cents
never fives or tens
do not fall victim to trickery
or trap alike
make love cold at first
or your heart it may spike

trust in trust
make no dream to dust
do not envy or lust
use a minor touch of guts
use exception in forgiveness
be giving in mutual understaning
never judge underestimate
never be on time do not be late
be not kind nor relentless
but think in moderate
play you part in a chain
make yourself a link
do not let the system sink
trust to trust
dust to dust

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
