Sweet Last Breathe

Yes I sit here
Day after day
Thinking…
Contemplating…
PLOTTING…
I sharpen the blade
And fill the clip
Cock it and yet another
Bullet in the chamber
Hoping this bullet won’t shed blood
Yes I shed tears
But not blood
Not yet
I pierce and ink my skin
Not to be accepted
But to be rejected
Cut and color
Liner and shade
More I try
Rejection I need
Now with this blade so sharp and pointy
I pierce my skin with it
Now I shed no tears
But blood
I taste it
It’s like a rush
Rush of energy
But I stop and continue my work
I slice up and down
Left to right
I now know my work it done
My vision fades
And I slip into a deep dark sleep
